District of Louisiana placed under the jurisdiction of the Territory of Indiana, and Court of Common Pleas established at St. Louis

Territory of Louisiana organized as the Territory of Missouri.   First five counties formed:  St Charles, St Louis, Ste Genevieve, Cape Girardeau and New Madrid.

Arkansas Territory created from part of the Territory of Missouri

Missouri admitted into the Union

 

1837

Platte Purchase made effective, adding counties of Atchison, Andrews, Buchanan, Holt, Nodaway and Platte
