St Francis Borgia Catholic
Church (1866-1869)
Located on Main Street between Cedar and Elm Streets, it is Washington's
largest church. It is an impressive brick structure begun in 1866 and completed in
1869. In earlier years, it housed a high altar and pulpit made by Franz Schwarzer,
renowned zither-maker.
