Lucinda Owens Home (ca. 1848)
Located at 400 East Main Street, this two-story nine-room brick is located on a bluff
overlooking the Missouri River. The south wing was added in 1866 by a later owner.
Restored in 1957-1958, five fireplaces, including the kitchen fireplace are open. Mrs.
Owens, founder of Washington, filed a plat of the town in 1839.
