The Bear's Den will retire as of January 2, 2003.  

The Bears' Den originated  five years ago with the assistance and encouragement of my children, Tonya and Marc, following the death of my oldest son, Jon, 

Jon's love of learning, Bears' football and the Dallas Cowboys was readily shared. So too, his fascination with computer technology and the newly emerging "internet."   

Jon passed away January 2, 1996 at the age of twenty-two of ketoacidosis, a complication of  Type 1 diabetes.  

It has been a pleasure following the Bears over the last decade as a parent, and as webmaster of The Bears' Den in more recent years.  It has been a period of much growth and change for myself and my family.
